Skype web guidelines
With the launch of Skype's updated brand, the marketing team shifted into a new gear and we started building a lot more campaign/landing pages. Historically it was a mix of some work being handled in-house, and some by external agencies. It also meant there was some variance to those experiences, both visually as well as functionally. Just as we'd gone through the exercise of detailing our emails, we needed to do the same on the web front. Those two channels are often woven very tightly together, so I had the same designers work on both, especially at the guideline stage.
We got so good at designing campaign pages in-house, that the next time we went to an agency for a large campaign, they had to hire outside help to keep up. I have to admit, that felt pretty good. It's definitely a testament to the team.
