Smarter than your average share

Before Facebook or Instagram, people shared photos by slapping them into emails and blasting them out to all their friends. While at Shutterfly, I helped design their Groups feature, and I kiiiinda feel like Snapfish wanted some of that and hired me for it. Not right away, mind you. But eventually, they came over to my desk and were like, "So, about that Group stuff…"

We wanted to make it easy for people to browse through collections of photos and assemble photobooks quickly. You might not have gotten a shot of your kid kicking the winning soccer goal, but another parent might have. Snapfish had a good idea of the target audience, which helped in the initial design phase. Below is a glimpse of an early (wireframe) spec.
